Often in UN communications
jobsyou do a little bit of everything - responding to media requests, photography, editing, contracting, writing press releases, creating presentations, publishing content on social media, and more. While with UNDP Iraq's Funding Facility for Stabilization I was also asked to design a quarterly report. It's intimidating to start out with only a very long word document, a blank screen staring back at you from InDesign, and a looming deadline, but I enjoyed the challenge of trying to do justice visually to the scale of the programme and to convey a sense of progress.
Above - I was so excited that we finally had some high-quality photos of our projects that I started the report with a few double-page spreads like the one above by Alex Kay Potter of a last coat of paint going on a wall in a newly rebuilt water treatment plant in Mosul. Here's a link to the full document.
